COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION

AirCargo 2022 has posted important information every attendee must read about vaccine/test/masking requirements and mandates. Know before you go – learn what the entry process to the conference venue will be, and how to prepare so that you can be checked in as quickly as possible.

As we move closer to AirCargo 2022, we’ll have all the specific information attendees will need regarding the health and safety requirements that will be in place at the Hilton Riverside, the evening event venues and within the city of New Orleans in January. As with many large gatherings, current requirements will include the wearing of facemasks, and proof of vaccination or a recent negative PCR test. AirCargo 2022 has planned efficient ways to get you checked in and moving about the meeting quickly while adhering to the various health and safety requirements in place (see below). Guidance for COVID health and safety protocols changes often, so we will provide updates for attendees as needed via the conference website and via email.

Important information for attendees:
Please bring to New Orleans your proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative PCR test for COVID, administered within the past 72 hours. Masks will be provided on site for those who do not have one. The City of New Orleans, Mardi Gras World and Fulton Alley are currently requiring the following health and safety precautions for indoor venues, including local hotels and restaurants:

  1. Masks must be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status when with people who are not in your immediate household.
  2. Masks must be worn outdoors at events of more than 500 people if total attendance is more than 50% of the outdoor venue’s capacity.
  3. People aged 12 or older attending indoor events including the AirCargo 2022 Annual Meeting, restaurants, fitness centers and entertainment venues must show proof of vaccination (at least one dose) OR a negative PCR test within the preceding 72 hours.

Information about the latest New Orleans requirements can be found here.

Verifying your vaccination status or PCR test
AirCargo 2022 will verify your COVID-19 vaccination status and/or PCR test results at onsite registration and before you will be allowed access to the exhibit hall, general sessions or any AirCargo meeting spaces. You will need to complete this step before proceeding to any area of the meeting space. (Being vaccinated will ensure your eligibility to attend the entire meeting. A negative PCR test will be good for 72 hours after the test. Those needing to get a test during the meeting will be directed to one of the local sites available for that purpose.)

Please note: It is the responsibility of each attendee to ensure that he or she can show proof of meeting these requirements upon arriving at the Hilton Riverside, or the hotel of choice, or other meeting-related destinations. Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring that all people staffing their exhibits will be able to show proof of vaccination/negative PCR test.

We encourage all attendees to report to the AirCargo 2022 registration desk (exact location will be provided to all attendees) to be checked in and verified as soon as possible after arriving.

We will provide updates for attendees as needed.

Health and safety notes: In the New Orleans area, COVID-19 cases are continuing to trend downward, and 70.6% of adults are fully vaccinated in Orleans parish (80% have had at least one dose). AirCargo 2022 is closely monitoring all public health recommendations for the New Orleans area and will continue to prioritize the health and safety of faculty and attendees. As we move closer to the time of the meeting, we’ll have all the information attendees need regarding any health and safety requirements that will be in place at the Hilton Riverside, our evening event venues, and the city of New Orleans in  January.

Health and Safety Information

The safety and well-being of all AirCargo 2022 conference attendees and exhibitors is a top priority of the three host associations, the Air & Expedited Motor Carriers Association,  Airports Council International – North America and the Airforwarders Association. We are closely monitoring the situation related to COVID-19 and plan to adhere to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, along with any federal, state and local government mandates in place at the time of our meeting. The primary goal will be to maintain transparency and accurately convey the health and safety measures being taken at the conference. As such, AirCargo 2022 will communicate what attendees can expect on-site in terms of social distancing requirements, masking protocols and safety precautions prior to the meeting based on current guidance. AirCargo 2022 also:

  • Encourages all attendees to receive a COVID-19 vaccination and if necessary, be tested prior to arrival.
  • Encourages all attendees to bring their own PPE.
  • Encourages all attendees to complete a “Self- Assessment” health checklist daily before leaving their hotel room.
  • Encourages all attendees to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and to stay in their room if they are exhibiting any symptoms. (Current testing resources can be found at NOLA Ready).
  • Is requiring all attendees and exhibitors to complete a form/waiver during the registration process, agreeing to follow any safety protocols that are in place or risk expulsion from the meeting.
  • Will provide guidance regarding new meeting etiquette and utilize on-site signage to reinforce established health & safety measures.
  • Will ensure hand sanitizing stations will be readily available.
  • Will arrange for a First Aid Station to be staffed during show hours to provide assistance to any attendee who requires medical services.

All health and safety protocols are subject to change. AirCargo 2022 will post any new protocols to this page as they become available.
