Dave Hockersmith
CEO of Supply Vision LLC & Trans-Soft, Inc.

Dave Hockersmith has been involved in the logistics industry since 1973. He is currently CEO of Supply Vision LLC & Trans-Soft, Inc. (developers of custom software applications for the logistics and forwarding industry).

With over 44 years’ experience in the transportation industry, Dave has held positions ranging from cartage operations to freight forwarding, which ultimately led to software application development.  In the late 1970’s and early 80’s Dave was Vice President of Consolidated Services, a cartage company located in Detroit.  In 1983, Dave relocated to Scottsdale Arizona where he co-founded Consolidated Air Services, a domestic and international forwarder.  After selling Consolidated Air Services to Amertranz/Target Logistics in 1996, where Dave held the positions of Vice President of Information Technology and Operations. He was also a founding owner of Pacific Logistics Corp. in 1999.

Dave was a Charter member of the Air Forwarders Association and has held many positions including President in 1995 and AFA Chairman in 1996. He worked closely with the AFA board and the Federal Aviation Administration in 1996 when the first air cargo security regulations were put in place.  This was prior to the creation of the TSA. He led the Cargo Automation sub-committee from 1996 through 2002. In all he was on the board of directors for 18 years.

Dave has provided consulting Services over the years on behalf of several well-known logistics providers such as American Linehaul, Purolator International, Pacific Logistics, XPO Logistics. Seko Worldwdie and many others. His industry expertise in logistics, operations, accounting, and of course technology, have helped many of our members continue to grow their business.

Dave is currently the committee chairperson form the AfA Cyber Security committee.
