Three perfect days at the AirCargo Conference

3 Days

If you haven’t attended an AirCargo Conference before, then you might be curious as to what you can expect from our three-day event. Whether you’re attending as an exhibitor, looking for continuing education opportunities to support your air cargo customers, or onsite to meet and network with your co-members of the presenting organizations, there is something for everyone at the annual conference.

Day 1: Golf, Women’s Networking Event, Opening Reception

You’ll need to get an early start if you missed the registration desk before the first day of the conference because the golf outing loads up at 7:00 AM for a shotgun start at 8:00 AM. Enjoy the lovely weather, an incredible local course, and having an outdoor event to network with your industry peers. It’s a best ball scramble with awards at a luncheon when you get off the course. You’ll then return to the host hotel in time for the Women’s Networking Event.

The event is the fastest-growing session of the AirCargo Conference and starts around 4:00 PM. The event features informative panel discussions and this year will be addressing the serious issue of human trafficking and awareness. Led by women executives who are at the top of their field, this event offers guidance for the younger generation of air cargo professionals and is open to everyone. Complete with tangible goals, understandable plans, and an open Q&A forum, this session ranks as the favorite of all attendees.

Immediately thereafter is the Grand Opening Celebration and Reception held in the exhibit hall with great food, good friends, and fantastic drinks. Mix, mingle and meet new people as you explore the space, taking in each of the booths. Don’t forget to drop your business cards in the raffle baskets to enter the giveaways coming later in the event.*

Day 2: Keynote, Association Meetings, Expo Hall, Sessions Begin, Evening Networking

As much fun as the Grand Opening Reception was, we’re up early having breakfast in the exhibition hall with our exhibitors starting at 7:00 on day 2. There’s time built into the schedule for you to say hello to the new friends you made last night and check out some booths you may not have been able to see in full yet. Don’t dawdle for too long because the Keynote Speaker is headed for the stage and you don’t want to miss the electrifying presentations we offer from well-known and well-respected industry thought leaders and executives.

After our Keynote gets you pumped, we’ll split into association meetings. If you’re not attending an association meeting, explore the exhibit hall, rest before the afternoon sessions, take meetings with the new contacts you’ve made, or even spend an hour exploring our host city (this year New Orleans).

Once you’ve had your fill at lunch, get yourself in a seat for any of our multiple educational sessions, including the always well-attended (and SSI-restricted) TSA session. Other sessions are facilitated by a diverse assortment of people from around the industry and we offer topics of interest with valuable takeaways for the owners, managers and operations people in attendance.

Today’s not all serious business and education, though. Our second nightly event is typically held off-site at a leading venue in the current city. Stuffed with culture, music, food, and friends the second-night event is a great fun break from a busy day. Enjoy the food, find some cool souvenirs, and take some pictures of the memories you want to last a lifetime.

Day 3: Sessions, Expo Hall & Grand Raffle, Closing Night Event

The talk at breakfast will be centered around the fun everyone had the night before as you try to cruise by every booth one last time to ensure your raffle entries are made. A few more hours of education and networking will see us having lunch as companies start drawing winners of amazing prizes. Listen closely to the names called, you could be one of them, or you might know one of them and get to share in their joy!

Sadly, all great things must come to an end but don’t let the speedy breakdown of the booths make you sad, we have a few hours left and the final evening event is not to be missed. While some may need to leave early to beat the crowd or catch a plane, those who stay through the end are treated to a raucous night of fun, entertainment, and a fitting close to the best event in air cargo.

When you’re strolling back into your office after the conference, full of hilarious stories, important notes on current events, and a bonanza of free gifts, business cards, and prizes, we hope your smile and stories inspire more people to come out and have the time of their lives at the AirCargo Conference – and plan to attend next year’s event and bring a friend or colleague along for their first time.

*Don’t be afraid to run back to your room for more business cards if you run out. There are a lot of opportunities to win and so many new contacts to make!

The AirCargo Conference is simply the greatest value for a professional in the air cargo and adjacent industries to attend, learn, network and immediately bring ideas to save time and money to their companies and find vendors who can provide much-needed services to increase efficiency at a time when everyone is moving at breakneck speed.
